The moment you trust Christ, God forgives you, declares you righteous, makes you His child, and gives you His Spirit, and from that settled place you begin a lifetime of growing to be like Jesus.
God wants every believer to be certain of eternal life, and that certainty rests first on His promise to everyone who trusts Christ alone, confirmed by the Spirit's witness and the fruit of a changed life.
Daily Bible reading is how a believer hears from God, grows in Christ, and learns to obey, and a simple plan, a set time, and a prayerful heart can make it a lifelong habit.
Prayer is intentionally communicating your heart to God: coming to the Father, in the name of Jesus, by the help of the Holy Spirit, with faith in His goodness and surrender to His will.
Biblical fasting is setting food aside for a season so that prayer and God's Word can fill its place: a voluntary act of hunger for God that earns nothing and lays bare what our hearts truly love.
God saves us into a family, so believers belong to a local church and gather on the first day of the week to worship the risen Christ and build one another up, in freedom and not under the Sabbath law.
Christians give regularly, proportionately, and cheerfully as worship to the God who gave His Son, trusting Him to provide and to bless generosity according to His wisdom.
A believer fights sin from the victory Christ has already won, counting himself dead to sin, fleeing temptation, walking in the Spirit, and confessing quickly, with his place in God's family secure.
Every believer already has the Holy Spirit, and walking in the Spirit means yielding to Him day by day through the Word, so that He fills, leads, and forms the character of Christ in us.
Christ has set believers free from sin's mastery and from rules God never gave, so in matters Scripture leaves to conscience each believer holds his convictions before the Lord, refuses to judge his brother, and asks, “Will this help my brother?”
Every believer will face trials, and though God never promises a life without pain, He reigns over suffering, works it for His children's good, gives grace to endure it, and will one day end it forever.
Every believer is saved to serve: gifted by the Spirit for a place in a local church, and sent as a witness to tell others the plain Gospel of Christ's death, burial, and resurrection.
Every believer will stand before the judgment seat of Christ, not to learn whether he is saved but to have his life tested for reward, so we run with endurance, build on Christ alone, and live to hear His “Well done.”
