Sharing Christ Among the Religions

One Savior, one need, and how to tell every neighbor

Overview

One Gospel for Every Neighbor

This study closes the section. We have walked through groups that use Christian words and change what they mean, and through the great religions of the world, from Judaism and Islam to the ancestor rites of East Asia and the unbelief of the modern West. We did it for one reason. Each of those names stands for a real person, and that person needs Christ.

JOHN 14:6

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

ACTS 4:12

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

Those two verses are the reason this section exists. They are also why it cannot end in a classroom. If Jesus is one option among many, we can study religions and go home. If He is the only Savior, then the Muslim at the next desk and the grandmother at the altar need to hear about Him from someone, and God may mean that someone to be you.

Engaging Other Religions

Sincerity is not the same as truth: every religion makes exclusive claims, and Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father.
