Privacy Policy
Last updated October 30, 2026
Theologica (theologica.app and the Theologica iPhone and Android apps) is operated by The Phalanx Project LLC. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect little: no advertising, no tracking across other apps or websites, and nothing sold to anyone.
What We Collect
Your account
When you make an account we store your email address and password (kept hashed by our accounts provider; we never see it), your display name, and any profile details you choose to give: your church, your role, the areas you want to study, and your weekly lesson goal.
Your learning progress
Lessons you complete, your answers to knowledge checks, bookmarks, recently opened pages, the days you studied, and the verses you are memorizing with their review history. This is kept on your device. When you are signed in it is also saved to your account so it follows you to other devices.
Purchases
If you subscribe to Theologica Plus in the iPhone or Android app, Apple or Google handles the payment. We and our subscription provider, RevenueCat, receive a record of the subscription (the plan, its status and dates, and the store's transaction identifiers) linked to your account. We never receive your card or bank details.
Server logs
Like any website, our hosting provider keeps standard request logs (IP address, browser type, and the pages requested) for security and to keep the service running. We do not use advertising or analytics trackers.
How We Use It
- To run your account and sync your progress between devices
- To know whether your account has Theologica Plus and open its content
- To answer you when you write to us
- To keep the service secure and working
Who Processes It for Us
We use a few providers, each only to do its part of running Theologica:
- Supabase: accounts and the database that stores profiles and progress
- Netlify: hosting for the website
- RevenueCat: subscription records for Theologica Plus
- Kit: sending our welcome and thank-you emails, using your email address and first name
- Resend: telling us when a new account is created, using your name and email address
- Apple: App Store payments and subscriptions
- Google: Google Play payments and subscriptions
- Stripe: card payments on the website
We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Keeping and Deleting Your Information
We keep your account information for as long as you have an account. You can delete your account at any time: in the app or on the website, open Profile, then Preferences, then Delete account. Your profile, progress, saved items, and Memory verses are erased right away. Apple, Google, and RevenueCat keep purchase records as billing and tax law require. Deleting your account does not cancel a store subscription: cancel an App Store subscription in your iPhone's Settings, under your name, then Subscriptions, and a Google Play subscription in the Play Store app, under your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions.
If you use Theologica without an account, your progress stays on your device only. Profile, Preferences, Reset progress erases it.
Your Choices
You can see and correct your profile in the app at any time. To ask for a copy of your information, or for anything else about your privacy, write to anthony@thevanguard.co.
Children
Theologica is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has made an account, write to us and we will delete it.
Security
Information travels over encrypted connections, and each account can read only its own progress. No service is perfectly secure, but we take care to protect what you trust us with.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above, and tell you in the app when the change matters.
